Here’s Your 2022 Military Discounts for Disney

February 17, 2022 by USMilitary.org

To salute military personnel and their families, Disney has recently announced the renewal of their popular military discounts for 2022.

Disney’s Armed Forces Salute allows members of the U.S. military to purchase steeply discounted theme park tickets.  Military personnel can also get large discounts on stays at select Disney Resort hotels.

The Salute is a special temporary offer which has been renewed on a year by year basis since January 2009.

TRENDING: Veterans, Get $250,000 of Term Life Coverage for as Low as $15/mo

IMPORTANT: 85% of Vets Aren’t Using This $42K Housing Benefit – Confirm Eligibility for Payment Adjustment in 60 Seconds

These tickets are completely separate from the regular military discounted tickets available at local military bases.

For the renewed Walt Disney World offer, purchase through December 16, 2022 and choose between 4-day or 5-day theme park tickets, with the Park Hopper option and the Park Hopper Plus option at the Orlando, Florida park. Those tickets must be used from January 1, 2022 through December 16, 2022.

For the offer at Disneyland in Anaheim, California, choose between a 3-day and 4-day Park Hopper Ticket when you purchase through December 12, 2022 and use by December 16, 2022.

TRENDING: U.S. Veterans Given Huge Home Warranty Discount – Get Your Free Military Discounted Quote in Seconds

Along with being able to receive discounted park tickets, Disney Resort hotels are also offering military personnel large discounts on lodging.  Since the number of rooms are limited for the discount, you will need to make advanced reservations.  Select room discounts are up to 30-40% off the normal rates

If you are considering taking advantage of Disney’s Armed Forces Salute discount, please keep in mind it is only available to:

  • Active-duty military members
  • Retired military members
  • Reservists
  • National Guard members
  • U.S. Space Force
  • U.S. Coast Guard
  • Commissioned Corp of the Public Health Service
  • NOAA

Military spouses can qualify as well, but they must have an active military ID with them to show Disney in the absence of the military member.  While spouses may use their member’s benefit, they are not entitled to a benefit of their own. They only use the discounts in place of the member.

I totally agree, US NAVY Ret. LICS 1977-1999, Where are our Disabled Vets. Our Disabled Vets deserve discounts as well. I am speaking as one myself. Our spouses sacrificed just as much along with our children.
Did they include our Families that had members that made the ultimate sacrifice, we All gave some but there are many many others that gave their All. God Bless them ALL. Our Veterans deserve so much more.

Disabled Veterans are not included in this? They deserve it too. They didn’t get hurt from just standing around doing nothing while serving in the military and protecting our country.

My husband just passed away from complications caused from Agent Orange in Vietnam. He was 100% disabled. We never got any kind of discounts, would have really helped since he had to also rent a wheel chair, etc when we were in Orlando.

I agree with you James Perry. My husband served in the Air Force for 28 yrs. and only got his retirement check. This should be all military rather active or retired.

I am classified 100% disabled thru the VA with a Purple Heart. I also have a Department Of Defence/
Ununiformed Service Card that allows me to get on any base for commissary use.. l don’t know where you draw your line but would like to be included. That way when relatives come down to visit Disney and want me to go with them I hate telling them no. I am 80 years old and living on a fixed income which keep me limited on spending money for entertainment.

Looks like we disabled Veterans don’t count. Well Disney, since we disabled veterans mean nothing to you after shedding blood on foreign soil for your sorry asses, you don’t mean anything to me. I’ve made two trips to disney in Florida and will never make another since you don’t care about us disabled ‘veterans.

What are the discounts for me as a retired U.S. Naval Officer who wishes to take children, grand-children , and great grand-children to your Orlando park and stay in the Contemporary Hotel? Please contact me as my Mother celebrated her 100th birthday at the park 22 years ago with 50 of her relatives from several states.
They all enjoyed their stay at the Contemporary Hotel for what turned out to be the last time together for several of them!
She was honored by Disney as the Grand Marshall of the parade that day along with her 6 Great Grand-children! The date as Grand Marshall was Saturday, August 22 1998. Her birth date was
August 21, 1898. She would feel honored if her Great-Great-Grand-Children could follow in her foot-steps now. My Mother was honored by Cinderella
joining all of us for dinner including the birthday cake replica of Cinderella’s Castle and the large framed picture of Cinderella surrounded with the signatures of all the Disney characters.. That picture still has a special place on the wall of my Mother’s room in our home where her Grand Children and Great Grand Children see it when they visit and stay in her special room! I would be happy to share with you pictures of the celebration including Cinderella, Mickey and Minnie Mouse and the Special cake! Thank you

It’s so discouraging that every veteran doesn’t get this discount, only a portion of military does. I called Disneyland to ask questions about this exact thing to gain clarity; I told them that our out of state family would like to start planning our vacation, and asked what discount there was for veterans? I was told that they were only for active duty, retired, reservists, or those in the national guard. So basically disabled vets, and any veteran that served their country proudly that doesn’t fit any of those requirements are exempt from the discounts. It’s a huge disservice to many of the hero’s of this country who are equally, and in many circumstances more so deserving. Seriously, how do you eliminate a Purple Heart recipient from a military discount? It’s such a slap in the face to service members; especially to those with service connected disabilities! I’m not sure who works out these discounts between Disney and military; but I’d be more than happy to write a letter on behalf of all of the military families exempted by how this discount is being worded. Hoping that this is some sort of a mistake; but if they don’t correct it, then we know that it wasn’t. And if Disney doesn’t support our disabled veterans; then my family will find other means of entertainment, as will the rest of our ur family and friends too.

I just went to Disney in December and was treated with utmost respect and courteous.
We were given all discounts and when we went to the park the first day I spoke with guest services regarding some inabilities. They gave us park line passes which avoided paying extra for the lightning lanes and fast pass lanes at extra prices. Checked in on the app, went about our business until it was our time to rides. Walked through lines in 5 minutes and booked the next one.
If you don’t know how to go about this I recommend getting a travel agent to assist you or at least setup the hotel and discount tickets.
You have to look up/write shades of green (google it, and maneuver their website) an email that will get you a call back regarding park hopper passes discounted at the military rates described above.
If you need help, I can even help assist you in the right direction.
    One vet to another.

So many comments, but I don’t see any responses from Disney.
Let’s make this REAL EASY, or as my DI said, Break it down Barney style.
ARE DISABLED VETS included in the offer? If so, where do we get the info and start the process to do this?
I am 100% disabled with a service dog so I won’t be on many if any rides, but my kids and grand babies would love the experience.
To my brothers and sisters, thank you for standing side by side for the freedom we enjoy, even if Disney does not respect or recognize our sacrifice.
