Streaming is cheaper than cable for a family that moves every few years, and several services knock real money off for military households. The best deals right now are YouTube TV at $15 off a month for a year, NFL Sunday Ticket at $198 for the season, Paramount+ at half price for as long as you subscribe, and Peacock Premium at $7.99. Each runs through a different verification service, and a few popular services offer nothing at all. We checked every offer below against the provider’s own page or its verification partner in October 2026.

YouTube TV’s military offer is $15 off per month for 12 months, which brings the base plan from $82.99 to $67.99 and saves $180 over the year. You verify through ID.me, and the offer is open to verified U.S. active duty military and veterans. The same discount is also offered to teachers, nurses and first responders, so a military spouse who works in one of those fields has two ways in.
The offer is aimed at new YouTube TV subscribers. If you already subscribe, check the terms on the ID.me page before cancelling and re-joining, because doing so can cost you your recordings and current pricing.

YouTube TV carries the major local networks, ESPN, FS1, NFL Network and most cable news, with unlimited DVR. It’s the natural pairing with NFL Sunday Ticket, which is sold through YouTube.
NFL Sunday Ticket
For the 2026 season, verified military members can get NFL Sunday Ticket for $198, which ID.me lists as $282 off the regular price. NFL RedZone can be added for $42 more. You don’t need a YouTube TV subscription to buy it; Sunday Ticket is sold as a YouTube Primetime Channel and works on regular YouTube too.

If you want both, the two offers are separate and you claim each one on its own. Sunday Ticket for $198 plus YouTube TV at $67.99 a month gives you every out-of-market Sunday game and your local broadcasts for less than either at full price.
Paramount+
Paramount+ has the deepest ongoing streaming discount: 50% off any plan for the life of your subscription. According to the Paramount+ military page, plans auto-renew at half the then-current regular price, and monthly plans currently start at $8.99, so the military price starts at about $4.50 a month. Annual plans start at $89.99, or about $45 a year at half price.
Verification runs through SheerID, and the eligible categories are broader than most: active duty, Guard and Reserve, veterans and retirees, military families and Gold Star families. Subscribers must be 18 or older and live in the U.S.
Paramount+ carries CBS shows, the NFL on CBS, Showtime content on its higher tier, and Nickelodeon and Paramount films.
Peacock
Peacock’s military offer is Peacock Premium for $7.99 a month for 12 months, down from $12.99. You verify through SheerID, receive a one-time promo code, and redeem it when you create your account. Existing subscribers can apply the code from their account’s plans and payment page.
Verification is annual: to keep the price after the first year, you re-verify and renew at the then-current military rate. If you don’t, Peacock bills you the regular price. Older guides list $3.99 or $6.99 for this offer; those prices are out of date.
Hulu
Hulu’s military discount is 25% off the Hulu (With Ads) plan, claimed through the Exchange rather than Hulu’s own site, according to CableTV.com’s review of the offer in September 2026. It applies to accounts billed directly by Hulu, not to Hulu purchased through a bundle or a carrier. The ad-free plan and Hulu + Live TV are not included.
Because it runs through the Exchange, you need Exchange shopping privileges. That includes active duty, Guard and Reserve, retirees, their dependents, and honorably discharged veterans, who can shop the Exchange online. Some older articles list 40% off; we could not find that offer anywhere current.
Disney+
Disney+ offers 25% off annual plans through the Exchange. It doesn’t apply to monthly plans or to the Disney Bundle with Hulu and ESPN, and it is limited to one subscription per Exchange account. The discount has run since 2022; Disney has not published a 2026 update, so confirm the current annual price at the Exchange before you buy.
An annual plan suits a deployment well: you can download shows and films to watch offline where the connection is poor.

MLB.TV
MLB.TV, now linked with ESPN, is offered at a discounted rate to members of the U.S. military through MLB. The discount runs with the baseball season, and MLB had not published the amount for 2026 when we checked. Look for the 2027 offer when spring training starts.
Services With No Military Discount
We found no current military or veteran pricing for these services as of October 2026:
- Netflix, Max and Spotify
- Apple TV+, which isn’t part of Apple’s hardware discount
- YouTube Premium, Sling TV, DirecTV Stream, Philo and ESPN
- Fubo, which has advertised first-month GovX offers in the past but has no confirmed standing discount
- Pandora, whose military plan page no longer loads
- Amazon Prime Video, though Amazon has run discounted Prime memberships for veterans and service members around Veterans Day in past years

Free Streaming for Military Members
Overseas, the AFN Now app gives authorized service members, families and civilians free live news, sports and on-demand programming on phones, tablets and streaming devices. The Army reported that AFN would move its land-based TV service from satellite to internet streaming in March 2026, so AFN Now is now the main way to watch overseas.
Military libraries also offer free streaming of films, audiobooks and e-books through MWR digital library services, using your installation library card.
