5 Companies Hiring US Military Veterans in 2021

Given their training, military service members transitioning back to civilian life are some of the best people to work with. 

They have excellent skills such as resilience, leadership, problem-solving skills, and strong work ethics. Unfortunately, research shows that regardless of the excellent training, veterans still face challenges in attaining basic needs like education, good health care, and establishing careers that will care for them and their families.

To help solve this issue, some companies have opted to hire and support US military veterans. Some of these companies hiring military veterans in 2021 to help better their lives include

1. Stryker

Stryker is an organization that helps veterans find and keep their jobs. This medical technology company has been part of the veteran’s jobs mission since 2014. 

Over the years, Stryker has hired military veterans in almost all departments in the organization ranging from finance, supply chain management, operations management, and engineering, among.

Additionally, Stryker has a military career page that addresses veterans on career search, preparing resumes and attending interviews, and other tips that help veterans secure and sustain jobs.

2. Carvana

Carvana is an online-based car retailer operating in Arizona. With a high growth rate, this company is looking forward to hiring veterans as most of its employees.

Currently, hundreds of veterans are working in Carvana, and the goal is to hire even more. Their reason for doing this is to encourage the spirit of teamwork that veterans are used to through their training in the company. 

As they do this, they help many veterans have a reliable source of income to support themselves and their families.

Additionally, Carvana is about to qualify to get the Department of Defense Skill Bridge Program. With this program, the organization can get veterans in their last six months of services and hire them. Visit Carvana’s portal for veterans and apply for a job.

Google believes that veterans and their families can change the world through their work here. This is why they hire military veterans and their spouses. There are different teams and programs that you can work for in Google.

For instance, if you have experience in computer science, you can secure a job to help create world-changing products. The list is endless for the jobs that you can secure in Google as a veteran. Apply for a post in Google as a veteran and get paid to do what you love.

4. Carrus

If you are a military member interested in health care jobs, Carrus provides an excellent opportunity for you. Additionally, Carrus is interested in hiring veterans’ spouses as well. Misty Frost, the CEO of this company, loves hiring veterans because of the mature and hardworking skills they show, which are needed in the healthcare industry.

Carrus recently received a grant from the Army Credentialing Assistance Program, which allowed it to hold short-term and no-cost training for veterans and their spouses. Therefore, you are assured of receiving free training that will equip you with the skills you need to work in the healthcare industry.

5. Microsoft

If you are a veteran interested in the technical industry, Microsoft is looking for you. The company is looking for mature and skilled veterans to fill some vacancies in the company. You can apply to fill these vacancies through the Microsoft Software and Systems Academy.

This is a program that will train those who qualify for advanced technical functions. Later, you have a chance to secure a job with Microsoft or any other high-tech firm.
